Show Negroes Praise the President Course of Boose-volt Indorsed by-African by-African Methodi3t Episcopal Church Conference CHICAGO, May 5. President Roosevelt Roose-velt hao been praised by James M. Henderson,, president of Morris Brown college, At lanta, Ga. Addressing the con- ferencc of the African Methodist church at Qulnn chapel, he said: "We admire the stand which our President Pres-ident has taken toward us. and If he has the moral courage to continue in the course which he has adopted he will hold a place In the hearts of the negro ulong with that of Abraham Lincoln." Tresldent Henderson's view of tho race problem was: "By education alone and not by Ironing Iron-ing out the kinks and by the use of bleaching powder can the negro rise to the standard of the white man." |
