LIBERTY BELL GOES TO THE FAIR Revolutionary Relic Will Pass Through Principal Cities in Many States En Route. PHILADELPHIA, May C The liberty lib-erty boll will be taken to St. Louis. This was decided upon today to-day when both branches of the City Council passed a resolution appointing ap-pointing a special joint committee of twenty-four to escort the Revolutionary Revolution-ary relic and appropriating $15,000 to defray the expenses. The .start will bo made early In June, but before the old bell Is placed In the Pennsylvania building at the fair it is proposed to pass through tho principal cities In the States and Territory comprising com-prising the Louisiana purchase. Those are Montana. North and .South Dakota, Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado, Minnesota, Minne-sota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Kan-sas, Indian Territory, Louisiana and Oklahoma. The bell will remain at St. Louis until un-til the close of thc exposition and avIH be under a constant guard of Philadelphia Philadel-phia policemen.
