Increased Earnings of Railroads. CHICAGO, May 5. The annual report re-port of the Michigan Central Railroad company for the year ending December 31, 1903, to be submitted to the stockholders stock-holders at their meeting today In Detroit, De-troit, shows an increase in freight earnings of 52,882,103, and in passenger earnings of ?375,632. Nearly all of this, however, was wiped out by nn Increase In operating expenses of about ?3,055,027. The fourth 'annual report of the Perc Marquette railroad for thc year ended December 31, 1903, has been submitted to the stockholders' meeting in Detroit. Tho report shows that the net earnings, after payment of Interest, were $1,616,-C78, $1,616,-C78, an Increase over the proceeding j year of ?G30,074.
