Show PARKER LEADS IN CONNECTICUT Has More Delegates in tho Democratic Demo-cratic Stato Convention Than Hearst. HARTFORD, Conn.. May 5.-No opposition oppo-sition to the choice of former Congressman Con-gressman Robert E. DeForest of Bridgeport, as temporary chairman of the Democratlo Stato convention, developed de-veloped tonight at tho ilrst silting of the dolt-Kates. It had been expected that Alexander Troup, the leader of the llcarai movement In Connecticut, would take exception ex-ception to the selection made by ho Stato central committee. Tho convention will chooao delegates to the St. L,ouls convention conven-tion and at tho same time effect a reorganization reor-ganization of tho Stato central commltlco under tho new Senatorial redisricting Tho session tonight was that of a temporary tem-porary organization, which will be made permanent tomorrow after the .caucuses have selected a new State committee. It Is not possible, to determine tonight whether there aro more Parker than Hearst delegates holding credential, but the Indications strongly favor the former. |
