OCR Text	Show Excuse of Icemen to Raise the Price Product So Extremely Thick That Chicago Dealers Will Advance Ad-vance Bate, HICAGO, May C Announcement ia made that the price of Ice in Chicago ia to be higher this year, not in spite of the rigorous winter, win-ter, but because of IL The ice companies compa-nies claim tho product was so extremely extreme-ly thick and difficult to cut that they spent more than the usual amount of money for labor and arc forced to raise the price to consumers. Last year Ice sold at wholesale at 15 and 20 cents a hundred poundo, according, to quality. It will be sold at 20 and 30 cents a hundred this year. Last year families were supplied at 30 and 35 cents a hundred hun-dred pounds. This year Ice will cost 35 and 40 cents- a hundred.
