Show Riot Follows Fire; Fourteen People Hurt Italian Emigrants Endeavor to Break Through Lines; Fierce Fight Ensues. PHILADELPHIA, Pa., May C An explosion of a gasoline tank in the freight yards of the Pennsylvania railroad at Thirteenth Thir-teenth and Market streets early today by which twelve firemen were burned, was followed by a riot among Italian emigrants. Assistant Chief Waters of the Fire department waa seriously seri-ously burned. Half an hour after the fire started n trair.load of emigrants arrived ar-rived from New York. Tho newcomers tried to leave the cars and break through the fire lines. A fight ensued in which Railroad Detective Cpnner was shot In the side by one of the Italians.
