Show SOUTHERN PACIFIC HAS MOTIVE POWER IN PLENTY PORTLAND, Or. May 5. Julius Krutt-schnltt, Krutt-schnltt, director of maintenance and operation op-eration of the Harrlman system, left this city for San FranclBco toniyht, after having hav-ing spent sovcral days in examining the Harrlman lines in Oregon. Relative to the trouble along the Southern Pacific lino last year, owing to lack of motive power, Mr. Krutbjchnltt stated thnt there would bo no shortage this year. He says 130 engines en-gines have been ordered for tho Southern Pacltlc, of which forty have been already delivered, and the remainder will be delivered de-livered by August 1. |
