Show PROPERTY WILL BE CONDEMNED FOR ROAD Condemnation proceedings brought by the city of Fannington, with the assistance of Dan B. Shields, attorney general, for the state road coin mi ssinn will be filed Monday. They seek to obtain a right-of-way for the state road through 1 nrmington over property owned by George Hess and Mrs. Ella Manful!. In the latter case it will bo necessary to tear down a dwelling house. The city will allege that the acre and a quarter belonging to Mr. Hess, which it is sought to condemn, is not worth more than $1000, and that the loss to Mrs. Manfull .will not exceed rfoOOO. About a quac-ter of an acre in all of Mrs. Manfull 's land would be condemned. The proceedings are brought in an effort to eliminate a sharp and dangerous danger-ous curve from the state road at Farm-mgton, Farm-mgton, and to provide an overhead crossing over the Bamberger Electric railroad, where the lino goes through a cut. With the service of Ihe summons will also be served a notice of a motion that the citv be allowed immediate possession pos-session of the property. |
