Show AUSTRALIAN MAIDS TO COMPETE IN U. S. NEW YORK. July 26. Arrangements for the competition and exhibition tour of the Australian swimmers, the Misses Fanny Dnrack and Mina Wiley, are being be-ing completed rapidly by local Amateur Athletic union officials. The swimmers will compete in a number num-ber of the national championships. The schedule as arranged to date includes: in-cludes: Portland. Ore., Ausrust 2 ; Chicago, August 9-10; New York, August 16; Chicago, Chi-cago, August 23, and Rye Beach, N. Y., August 3 '"t. In these competitions Miss Dura ok will swim at distances above 100 yards, while Miss Wiley will not contest any event beyond the quarter-mile. Other cities where they will compete, but which have not as yet been assigned dates, include Los Angele-s and San Francisco. |
