Xewcll of Chicago, national president of the American Association of Engineers, will arrive in Salt Lake August 1 to complete the organization of a Utah chapter of the society, according ac-cording to announcement made yesterday yester-day by Kugeno .Bush, temporarv' secretary secre-tary of the state chapter. Professor li. B. Ketehum of the University Uni-versity of Utah is temporary president of the Utah association, ;unl the following follow-ing have been appointed a committee to arrange for the entertainment of Dr. Xewell and the final organization of the chapter: S. Q. Cannon, Charles Wood-hurst, Wood-hurst, George (f. Bvwater, .Joseph T:!liek-ensderfer, T:!liek-ensderfer, K. K. Ketclium, W. A. Richmond, Rich-mond, R. B. Alexander, Hoy Siukols and Howard Ikildwin. The American Association of Kni-neers Kni-neers is an organization incorporated under the laws of Illinois for tin- purpose pur-pose of raising the standards of the engineering profession by the interchange inter-change of professional infonmi; ion, the fostering of laws requiring high of-' fieieney, and the promotion of a brotherly broth-erly spirit among the nv inborn. It is net a pecuniary organization, and is not interested in labor problems. Its objects are purely professional in a manner man-ner similar to 'those of the medical society soci-ety and ban kers ' associal ion. Its membership includes ail clashes of civil, .mining, mechanical, electrical and other! technical engineers. |
