Several clubs have been recently organized organ-ized under the direction of the playgrounds committee, and every child from the age of 4 to 14 Is invited by the committee in I charge to become members of the respective respec-tive clubs. The object of the clubs . is to create a more intense interest in play-tTOund play-tTOund work afld attendance. Mrs. C. J. Ridd is in charge of the club for boys and girls from 4 to 7 years. Sirs. J. G. Hadley is In charge of the girls' club ranging in age from S to 11 years, and Mrs. W. M. Campbell, chairman of the playgrounds committee, is in charge of the girls' club from 12 to 14 years. Mrs. Campbell entertained tho members of her ciub at her home on East Seventeenth avenue Thursday afternoon. The present officers of the latter club are Miss Martha French, president, and Miss Norma Monasters, Mo-nasters, secretary. The wedding of B. J. Stones to Mrs. Beatrice Albean took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Stones on Nineteenth Nine-teenth avenue Monday evening. The ceremony cere-mony was performed by Bishop John B. Pendleton. The best man and matron of honor were Mr. and Mrs. Dave Hatton. News has been received from Portland, Ore., of the marriage in that city of Miss Isabell Margaret Jackson, formerly of Garfield, to George D. Perry. The ceremony cere-mony was performed June 18 at the White Temple Baptist church, by the Rev. William Wil-liam A. Waldo. Preceding the ceremony a musical program was furnished by Miss Nellie Kennedy, drifting into the triumphal tri-umphal strains of the wedding march from "Lohengrin" as the wedding party entered the church. Miss Rubv Hancock was maid of honor and Miss Frances Healy bridesmaid. Fordyce Waldo acted as usher. Immediately following the ceremony cere-mony a reception was held at the home of the bride. The home was beautifully decorated in pink and white roses. Large baskets held pink and white roses, the handles being tied with pale pink ribbon. A buffet supper was served in the dining L room.
