Show SUNSHINE DISTRICT I HAS BRIGHT FUTURE I Persistent prospecting and development develop-ment work are fast proving that tho camp of Sunshine, located about seventeen seven-teen miles south of YVLnnemucea, is one of more than ordinary merit, says the Winnemucca Star. - Only a short ( time ago there were but a few claim owners in the district. Now there are many, and new prospects being opened are deserving of considerable notice and publicity. A number of the strikes made in the camp lately are exceptionally good and have the earmarks of making into rich mines. One strike in particular, made on property owned by Ycrne Johnson and Sam Baldwin, has very fine showings show-ings of rich ore and is "attracting a great deal of attention. In a three-foot vein that is nearly all shipping ore, there is a foot streak that assays from $200 to $2000 to the ton in gold and silver, the greatest values be ing in tho white metal. Hornsilver is abundant throughout' the ledge matter. This rich ore is not found only in one opening, but is disclosed in a number of places on the property. Messrs. Johnson and Baldwin are not doing extensive mining, but are working work-ing themselves and opening their property prop-erty in different plares preparatory to taking out ore for shipment. From what has been told about the camp, there are a number of large porphyry por-phyry dykes cutting through the district dis-trict and near these intrusives the rich leads are found. It is said that there are eight claims in the camp that have rich shipping ore. |
