AUTOGRAPHED TIRES FOR C0H1 STONE The happy originality of Fred Stone, the famous' comedian, is carried even beyond his work on the stage. Some time ago, during a visit at the plant of the Pennsylvania Rubber company, at Jcannette, makers of the famous Vacuum Cup tires, he conceived the idea of having a set of these tires made bearing his autograph worked in rubber rub-ber rn the sides. Hi8 idea was so innovative inno-vative that General Manager Seneca G. Lewia immediately set his experts to work on it, with the result that such tires were successfully evolved. On the Vacuum Cup cord tires which he re-centlv re-centlv purchased the jet Hack tread and fidowall make the inimitable signature sig-nature of the comedian, in bright red rubber, stand out in strikiug relief. The tires, while designed primarily as a personal touch, prove oven more. The name cannot bo destroyed without mutilating mu-tilating the tire to a considerable : tent, and thus proves iu effective safe- : guard against theft. I Mr. fritouo has been a user of Vacuum ! Clip tires for a number of years, and so enthusiastic has beeu his advocacy of their goodness and wearing qualities quali-ties that many prominent personages of his profession have, upon his recommendation, rec-ommendation, given them a trial, to their unvarying satisfaction.
