(Photo furnished by N". W. Aver & Son, The photograph shows the final inspection, in-spection, at Meigs field. Washington, D. C, of part of the trucks that are taking part in the crip to San Francisco, Cal. This trip is conducted bv the motor transport corps of the United States army in the interests of better roads, to enlist recruits for the motor transport corps schools which will be open in September Sep-tember and also to show the public the usr of equipment we had during the war. .On a long run of this kind it is extremely ex-tremely important that the lubrication of the trucks be given especial attention. The above shows the last bit of oil and grease beingr supplied before the final inspection in-spection by the officers. The sergeant in charge, together with other mechanics, may be seen looking over the motors t.nd other parts. These trucks are a few of those which will be lubricated throughout the entire trip with Dixon's lubricants, which are used because freedom from lubrication trouble and worry is desired. |
