The five-foot face of the cut is filled with quartz stringers from two to ten inches wide, which are making into a solid ore body. It i.s believed these stringers aro the downward extension of the ore shoot opened on the thirty- and seventy-foot levels, where ore was mined and shipped having a value as iirh as $1000 a ton. About two tons of ore mined on the seventy-foot level netted $69C. When the ore is completely crosscut on the lower level a drift will be run to get under the shoot opened above.
