Recently the credentials of the company were favorably passed upon d the state security commission. Application Ap-plication for a. franchise has been filed with the Ogden city commission and the public utilities commission of the state. The company owns property near Thirty-second and Wyoming streets, Oeden. I pon this property, according, to official information, are six natural gas wells, ranging in deptl from 138 to 5?7 feet. The , first gas well was struck May 11, IMS. The maximum flow of these wells is estimated by officials to be approximately approxi-mately from 20,000 to 30,000 cubic feet per hour. Gas from these wells is of a very high grade, it is said. The heat content measures mea-sures 1050 B. T. U.'s. while the averatrn artificial gas measures from 475 to 50 B. T. U.'s. A diluting tank is used by the company to reduce the heat units to any desired number. To prevent explosion, ex-plosion, the greater- percentage of oxygen oxy-gen is burned from air. This inactive gas is mixed with the natural gas in the diluting tank, and the heat units reduced to the desired number. Plans are being made by the company to drill a new well to the depth of 000 feet, it is said. An examination of the upper formation by T. L. Livsey, the company's geologist, has convinced the company that the chance for finding oil at depth is favorable.
