Show DELEGATE BACK FROM IMEMETIi Miss Martha Moore Reports on St. Louis Convention of Women's Clubs. Delegates from forty-five states were present at the convention of .business and professional women held July 15 to IS at St. Louis, Mo., for the purpose of forming the National Federation of Business and Professional Women 's clubs, according to Miss Martha Moore of the Pusincss "Women's club of the Young Women 's Christian association. Miss Moore has returned to Sail Lake after attending t lie meetings. More ihan -00 voting delegates were present at Ihe opening session, Vv'yo-ming, Vv'yo-ming, New Mexico and Nevada being the only states not represented. The bylaws and the constitution drawn up at the convention related chiefly to improved working conditions for business women and those employed in the industries. Miss Moore said. There was much discussion as to who should bo eligible to membership in the federation. After much discussion, it decided that state federations in which three-fourths of the members of the various clubs were business women could affiliate with the national federation, according to Miss Moore. Mayor Henry Kiel of St. Louis delivered deliv-ered an address of welcome at the opening open-ing session of t he gat lie ring and several sev-eral telegrams of a congratulatory nature na-ture from nationally known public officials of-ficials were read.
