Show Orson J. Davis WEST POINT-Orson James Davis, 94, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 1990 at Humana Hospital Davis North in Layton of congestive con-gestive heart failure. He was born June 20, 1895, in South Hooper, a son of John and Julia Flitton Davis. He married Alt a Fern Stoddard Aug. 20, 1919. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She later died. He married Dora Miller Patterson Nov. 20, 1929, in Farrnington. She died Nov. 20,1945. He then married Hazel Hamblin July 18, 1953, in Farrnington. She died in November 1987. He was a lifelong resident of West Point and had been a farmer. He was a member of the LDS Church and had served as home teacher for many years. Surviving are four stepchildren whom he raised: Rex E. Patterson, West Point; Mrs. Wilbert (Helen) Dawson, Roy; Mrs. Clenton (Mabel) Marx, Ogden; Dora Eldridge, Topock, Ariz.; six other stepchildren, Lamar Hamblin, Syracuse; Blaine Hamblin, Lei and Hamblin, Mrs. Ben L. (Fern) Graham, Mrs. Ray (Beth) Bot-" Bot-" tomley, all of Clearfield; Mrs. Erl-ing Erl-ing (Lama) Leholm, Layton; 18 grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three daughters, Lucille, Lilly and Barbara Davis, one stepson, Jack Patterson, one sister, two half brothers and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, Fri-day, May 1 1 , at the West Point Fifth and Sixth LDS Ward Chapel. Interment, West Point Cemetery. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Clearfield Mortuary. |
