Show Cemetery officially opened BLUFFDALE-A keynote speech by National Security Advisor, Ad-visor, Lt. Gen. Brent Scowcroft and remarks by Gov. Norman Bangerter will highlight the Memorial Day dedication of Veterans Memorial State Park. The dedication of Utah's newest state park is open to the public and will be held Monday, May 28 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Those attending the dedication must park their vehicles at Camp Williams, located off SR 68, between be-tween Bluff dale and Lehi. The National Guard will then shuttle people to the dedication site. Veterans Memorial State Park is located at 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah. The development of Veterans Memorial State Park was a combined combin-ed effort of the Utah Division of Parks and Recreation, the Utah Military and Veterans Affairs Committee (UMVAC) and the Veterans Vet-erans Administration. The 30-acre park includes a veterans' vet-erans' cemetery, a chapel, wall of honor, reception room, administration administra-tion office and a maintenance building. The park is scheduled to open formally July 1 , at which time, veterans, their spouses and dependent depen-dent children can be interred. |
