CANNON WOODS CROSS - The Wildcats boys baseball team fell to Mountain Moun-tain Crest last Wednesday 12-6 in the Inter-Region playoffs. The loss ended the Woods Cross season with a 9-9 overall record and a 7-7 region record. We could have won," said coach Steve Lindsey. "Ve just didn't take advantage of our opportunities oppor-tunities and they did. We out-hit them 13-10, and we had just two errors to their six. But they scored eight runs the inning that we had our two errors," said Lindsey. "The thing that disappointed me about this season was that we were so inconsistent. We had great efforts and we had terrible efforts. When we lost we really lost big. I said at the beginning of the year that we would go as far as our Seniors would take us and that's how far we went," said Lindsey. 'Our goal was to make the region play-offs, and we did that. We beat every team in our Region except West, and we were the only team to beat Murray," concluded Lindsey. |
