Show Bountiful RDA okays tentative '91 budget By TOM HARALPSfclN BOUNTIFUL-The city's Redevelopment Agency has given tentative approval to a fiscal 1W budget. A public hearing on the budget wiU be held June 20 at 6.30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. The budget calls for $429,950 in revenues and expenditures. Among expenses called for are $19,736 for permanent employees, an increase over the current budget of equipment maintenance of $1,100, up from the current $900; and a major decrease in appraisals and technical expenses. No money is budgeted for that category next year, while this year's budget called for $7,500. The administration budget for fiscal 1991 totals $48,201, compared with $54,994 in the current budget and actual projected pro-jected expenses of $54,1 12. The RDA's operating budget for next year drops significantly, to $381,749 compared to the current $708,256 and actual projected penses of $821,615. The major 5" ference is the downtown redevelopment project, Wne $470,641 was spent this year and n monies are budgeted for next year Most other operating expenses are identical or close to current budgT with special projects allocated $59,969 for next year. This yea?! actual expenditures in that category are around $35,005, while IZ $52,000 was budgeted. The bud also calls for a $60,000 payment to Woods Cross for the Gateway project. Revenues also drop from the cur rent projected total of $875,727 with proceeds from bonds and revenues from rents dropping significantly. Bond proceeds currently cur-rently are projected at $435,000 while no proceeds are figured' im the fiscal 1991 budget. City Council will also hold as public hearing at 7 p.m. on June 20 to discuss the city's regular 1991 budget requests. |
