Show Cowboy rides to help Jacob walk Jacob's name. Those wishing to contribute can send their donation to any Zions bank in the state. For some people, bulls are scary. For others, bulls are food. For cowboys, bulls are meant to be ridden and tamed. For Jacob Hart, a bull could be his savior from paralysis. Jacob was bom with spina bifida, a condition in which the spinal cord is too rigid to grow and stretch. Without normal spinal cord function, func-tion, signals cannot be transmitted from the brain to other parts of the body. But Jacob's condition is not hopeless. A timely operation should be 100 percent successful, leaving Jacob as normal as any other lively two-year-old boy. Because such operations are expensive, ex-pensive, a childhood friend of Jacob's father offered to help. Ellis O'Driscoll of Bountiful will ride in the "Bull Wars" June 2 in Morgan in hopes of attracting community attention at-tention to Jacob's problem. O'Driscoll is not the only one helping Jacob. Other riders will wrangle with Jacob in mind, and several radio stations will make announcements an-nouncements about his need.
