Show Seniors plan housing unit The Sharing Seniors Organization Organiza-tion of Davis County is continuing plans to open a shared senior housing hous-ing unit in North Salt Lake. According to a spokesperson for the group, the unit will allow single adults over 60 years old to share a residence with separate components, com-ponents, providing them with "greater social opportunities and economic benefits. ' ' Evaluation of these benefits is based on the assumption that the $300-per-month blanket fee covering cover-ing utilities and services is lower and simpler than bills paid by non-program non-program seniors. The group also claims social benefits such as reducing stress, promoting integration of different age groups, using existing housing more efficiently, and improving community appearance with well-kept well-kept properties. The program is touted as adaptable to varied neighborhood conditions. Proponents also say the program improves a senior's nutrition and safety and prevents "premature institutionalization. in-stitutionalization.
