Mabey presently represents bondholders owed more than $800 million in the Federated Department Stores, Bloomingdale's Chapter 11 cases in Cincinnati. He is a founding regent of the American College of Bankruptcy. Judge Clark and Mabey will serve on the selection committee of the American College of Bankruptcy for a six-state area. "There are a number of outstanding professionals profes-sionals in the areas of business reorganization, re-organization, insolvency and bankruptcy law from our region who deserve recognition for their outstanding contributions and who can play a great role in the American College of Bankruptcy. Mabey, are the first Utahns to be . inducted into the American College of Bankruptcy. The induction : ceremonies took place this week at the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. The American College of Bankruptcy honors through its membership outstanding judges, "lawyers, professors and other professionals pro-fessionals "whose sustained performances per-formances in the practice of their profession exemplify the highest : standards of professionalism." Judge Clark is the chief judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Utah. He is an appointee of Chief Justice William Rehnquist to the Bankruptcy Education Edu-cation Committee of the Federal Judicial Center which trains federal judges in their duties and promotes improvements in the judicial system. Judge Clark is a member of the Board of Governors of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges and a frequent speaker at educational educa-tional seminars nationwide. Mabey is the senior business bankruptcy partner in the 400-lawyer 400-lawyer international law firm of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Leiby and MacRae and heads its Salt Lake City office. He is a member of the Utah and New York state bars, an appointee of Chief Justice Rehnquist to the U.S. Judicial Conference's Advisory Ad-visory Committee on Bankruptcy Rules, a member of the Board of Editors of the American Bankruptcy Bankrupt-cy Law Journal, and a contributing author to the leading bankruptcy law treatise.
