Schmalz, which took place ou Wednesday afternoon at the homo of the bride s parents. Mr. and Mrs. William Wil-liam Moyes, on Twenty-sixth street. The ceremony, which was performed at 3 o'clock by Bishop Bobert McQuarrio, I was witnessed by only the intimate friends and relatives, b'ut in tho evening even-ing a largo reception was given, lo which nbont 150 guests wero bidden. Miss .Eva Moyes, a sister of tho bride, was bridesmaid, and Chris Schmalz was best man. Tho docorations were beautiful- carried out in piuk aud green, ferns, flowers and satin streamers all forming a pretty effect. Mr. and Mrs. Schmalz will make their home in Ogden Og-den at 54S Twent3'-fifth street. The marriage of Miss Elizabeth Parn-, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Parrv, to alter N. Fair, will take lace o'n Thursda3-, January 1-1, in the Salt Lake temple. Miss Alico Gray was hostess at a pleasantly arranged evening affair on Friday, the guests numbering about tweuty. Mi68 Lucilo Farr entertained a few of her girl friends on Weduesday afternoon after-noon at her home. A humorous poem was read by Mrs. Newcomb. which was rollowod by a pleasant social hour. Ono of the most pleasant "watch" parties of Now Year's ove was the one given by Miss Blancho Williams.
