Cummings. formerly of Los Angeles. J. Armstrong at tho corner of First North and Main streets, at a cost of $25,000. The number of double houses erected during the year has also been very lareo and a good deal of mony has been devoted de-voted to small apartment buildings, costing between $10,000 and $15,000. Most of those buildings wero started earlv in the year and wero completed ready for occupancy by the late summer. sum-mer.
