Show Gold Springs Gold Springs' in a rich section of Utah, being located closo to tho Nevada state line. Progress at ' Gold Springs 'mineB has beon slow, but the operators havo been laboring under difficulties that would havo staggered less persistent talent. The eninp is far removed from railroad facilities and 'its resources are of such a character that mills must be installed for thfiir preparation before they can be sent into tho markets. The combination t of talent that deserves de-serves special mention in that camp is the Jennie Gold Mining company. The Jennie is a developed gold mine, equipped with its own milling plant. Scvoral accidents during tho last year havo rotarded results in the plant, but everything now ia reported in proper shapo for developments. Near the Jennie is tho Wild Irish property, now one of tho busiest spots in the camp, and also tbo Independence property, both large milling propositions now being brought into such shapo that mill installation can be logical with those back of both. Recently a new company wns organized organ-ized to take over and develop the Snow-flake Snow-flake property, but moro especially to install a. largo power plant at Modenn. and wiro oioctrical power into Gold Springs and neighboring camps. This will solve many of tho troubles of this section, bringing cheap atid reliable power to tho mines and mills. Tho interests in-terests who have succeeded with tho Jennie company aro behind this new enterprise, and they desorvo every assistance as-sistance and credit for entering a rich and virgin field. |
