Show ADVICE OF GEOLOGICAL SURYEY ON COPPER "WASHINGTON, Jan. 2. This country coun-try produced 968,906,491 pounds of copper, cop-per, measured by the smelter output in 1907, according to the geological survey. Despite any manipulation in tho price of copper, it is intimated that tho producers pro-ducers of copper would do well to conduct con-duct their industry more nearly in accordance ac-cordance with tho needs of the merchant mer-chant or manufactnr than is now done. Tho survey in its report sa3s that the copper industry of tho country would be less subject to depressions and the profits would bo greater if such an at-titudo at-titudo was followed, |
