Mesdamds Alice Uhlson and Oscar Polereon ontertained at their home on Forrest street Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon in honor of Mrs. Tor-binsen Tor-binsen of Snowville. Social chat was indulged in aud delicious refreshments were served. Quito a number of lady friends were present. Wednesday evening tho members of the T. W. L. C. met at the home of Mrs. Olivia Lee of the Third ward and continued the study of the "Scottish Chiefs." A general good timo was indulged in-dulged in after the study period, and dainty refreshments were served by tho hostess, Mrs. Lee. A ward reunion was held in the First ward meeting-house Tuesday, at which nearly all tho married members of tho ward' were present. A well prepared programme was rendered. A sumptuous dinner was served and a good time enjoyed by all. . Wednesday afternoon iho Second and Third wards had their annual diunors, in their respectivo meeting houses. Therfi was a large turnout at each ward. Excellent programmes were rendered, and the dinners were sumptuous. In tho evening the Second ward gave a ball at the opera-house, which was largely attended. Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Nelson entertained enter-tained Sunday night at lunch. The gnestn wero the Misses Grace Wilson and Sara Nelson and Messrs. Harmon Johnson and W, L. Nelson. A grand leap year ball was given at the Academy of Music Wednesday night. Clarence A. Janson camo down from his ranch in Blacksmith Fork canyon to spend a couple of weeks with his folk's in this citj'. Miss Blanche Hatch of Franklin, Ida., visited in this city for a few days, guest of Mrs. Laura Woodland and family. Mr. Alf Kelly, who is leaching school at Winter Quarters, in Carbon county, is visiting in this city for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Nols Jensen visited relatives in Salt Lake City the last part of the week. O. N? Christensen and son of Salt Lake City are visitiug relatives in this city for a few days. Miss Lois Peters is visiting in El-wood, El-wood, tho guest of Miss Lydia Hansen. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bridge of Salt Lako City visited in this city during tho week, tho guests of Mrs. Bridge's parents. Mr, and Mrs. Elias Jensen, of tho Second ward. Ephraim T. Balphs of this city is visiting friends in Centerville for a fow days. Mrs. E. W. Dunn, who has been visit-ins visit-ins in Mendon for a few days, returned re-turned to her home last Monday.
