Ho was born in 35emiS3'lvania and when tho news of the great gold striko in California reached his nativo stato, ho took passage upon n sailing vessel nnd mado tho hazardous trip to tho Golden Stato around tho Horn. Later, ho wont to Arizona, whoro ho was a scout undor General Crook during dur-ing tho war with the Apacho Indians. Mr. Fisher was a brave, fearless man and did excellent work for tho government govern-ment while in its emplo3'. Still later, Mr. Fisher enmc to Utah, where ho was known us an expert miner and a splendid man. As old age began to creep upon him, however, he fell ill, and, having no meana to speak of, was looked after by his friends until his condition bccairio such that it was necessaiy to send him to the County infinnaiy.
