'Con-nor. Tho now store occupies the corner of a handsome new bungalow which has just been completed on tho north-cast north-cast corner of tho square. Tho iirst impression ouo receives is a pleasant one. Most noticeable is tho manner in which the place fits into its surroundings. surround-ings. Tlicro is nothiug of tho prominent promi-nent obtrusive glass front about tin's nlaco as is usual iu most drug stores but the place sits back among the trees similar in appearance to tho nearby residences as if it belonged naturally in I the location. Tho building is a ono stor- structure with wide, overhanging roof, built of concrete and supplied with huge projecting pro-jecting beams which give ono a feeling of comfort and permanence. Pretty grass plots surround tho structure on the street sides and tho trees which border tho streets will almost hido the building in summer time. Inside, the largo comfortable front room is finished in dark mahogany which gives an air of solidity to the place. The largo soda fountuin near tho front, has been built to correspond in finish with tho rest of tho room aud offers an unusually attract ivo appear-anco appear-anco with its wido marblo counter nud artistic array of glass and metal work in tho back. A novel idea that has heen carried out in the new store with excellent effect ef-fect is tho placiug of all ,tho drugs and medicines in tho rear room. It was explained by tho proprietor that tlioy wero thus in a situation much handier for the purpose of filling proscriptions pro-scriptions than they would be 111 the front room aud besides were out of the dust and dirt of the stroet which must be sonsiderable in any store located lo-cated on a residence thoroughfare.
