Hi-Land Dairy Association in 16 years has "grown fronvan idea into a major factor in the West's dairy business", members were told at the annual meeting of the association at Salt Lake City. Reports to membership showed that 1955 was the top-volume year for Hi-Land, with business for the year just closed 190 per cent above that of 1950. Plans for continued marketing development of all products were laid as members mem-bers approved the 1956 program. Operating three plants in Utah, Hi-Land now distributes and markets mar-kets in Utah, Wyoming, Colorado and Nevada. Principal plant is at Murray where, in addition to fluid milk products, the company also produces cottage cheese, ice cream, buttermilk and specialty products. The Hi-Land plant at Roosevelt produces butter and dry milk, while cheese production is at Beaver. Payroll now is in excess of $1 million annually, with 300 employees em-ployees in transportation, production produc-tion and distribution.
