Show LAPOiriT Mrs., Mabel Jenkins DUP Has Meeting Camp Eleanor Caldwell, Daughters Daugh-ters of the Utah Pioneers, held their monthly' meeting at the home of Captain Ora Swain. The' lesson was given by Mrs. Mae Sprouse, "The Price of Pioneering," and Mrs. Martha Jobb gave some history. his-tory. Lunch was served' by Ardith Huber, Margie Lee and hostess, Ora Swain. Present were Vervine Rasmussen, Mae Sprouse, Pearl Perry, Rhoda Ann Lee, Lillie Bige-low, Bige-low, Jessie NeumeyeT, Elizabeth Harrison, Ardith Huber, Margie Lee, Mrs. Mable Jenkins and Mrs. Martha Jobb. Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo (Doc) Van were in Roosevelt Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neumeyer returned home Tuesday from Og-de'n. Og-de'n. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Horrocks and son, Lewis, were in Roosevelt Roose-velt during the week. Mrs. Fern Anderson is visiting her children in Tooele, Logan and Salt Lake this week. Mrs. Pearless Taylor is in Salt Lake City getting acquainted with her new grandchild born to Mr. and Mrs. Duane Richens. Weston Justice has gone to Rangely, Colo., where he has employment. em-ployment. Mrs. Sarah Norton has been visiting with her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Von Haslem' and family of Alterra and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Norton Nor-ton and family of Roosevelt. Ervin Young from Randlett took his wife, Manon, and children home Sunday. They were guests of Mrs. Young's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Rasmussen and family. fam-ily. Mrs. Pearl Woolley is still visiting vis-iting in Salt Lake and Orem with her children. KIDS' DAY AT SCHOOL Children's Day was held Wednesday, Wed-nesday, April 18 for the first grade students, who enter school this fall. Thirteen parents were present. pres-ent. Mr. Reese Anderson, Mr. Old-royd, Old-royd, A. A. Call and Mrs. Alta Rust, supervisors from Uintah County, gave talks to the parents. Kindergartert was talked about and lunch was served by the cooks. Mrs. Tony Kilebough and mother, moth-er, Mrs. Mildred Mowrey were in Salt Lake City from Wednesday evening to Saturday on business and also were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Gagon and family. Darris Rasmussen of the BYU, spent the weekend with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Thurmer Rasmussen. Mr. and Mrs.. Charley (Chuck) Taylor are grandparents of a baby girl, born to Mr. and Mrs. Duane Richens of Salt Lake. The little Miss has a sister to greet her. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Workman and girls, Janet and Nancy Jane, of Myton, we're guests of Mrs. Workman's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Sr., and attended Sunday School Mr. and Mrs. Alfonzo (Doc) Van are happy grandparents of a baby girl born to Mr: and Mrs.DeWard Murray of Vernal. This is the Van's first grandchild. She goes by the name of Virginia Lasca. UNION DELEGATES Reed -Harrison and Margaret Huber attended the American Problems class, representing the Philippines at the Model United Nations convention held' at the University of Utah, April 20 and 21. They returned Saturday evening. eve-ning. Both are students of Union High School. Merrill Rasmussen is out and around again, after being ill at his home the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Woolley and children from Sidney, Neb., are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wool-ley's Wool-ley's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Woolley and family. Kenna Dee Hartle has been ill and was taken to the doctor. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hartle. |
