Show Annual Rodeo And Horse Show Set For May 28th The Roosevelt Riding Club through ' its newly elected president, presi-dent, Dick Bastian, has announced its first activity for the 1956 season sea-son will be their annual Horse Show and Rodeo. May 28 has been set for the' event that has become a popular program the past few years. Chairman of the Rodeo committee commit-tee is Lee Goodrich, with Cecil "Doc" Jenkins heading the Horse Show committee, and Merlyn Reynolds, Rey-nolds, the cutting committee. The Horse Show will begin at 12:00 noon, and the Rodeo will be at 7 p.m. There will be trophies in all the horse show events, with generous purses . in the rodeo events. $25 in cash will be added to entrance fees in the bucking events. Open cutting will be a special feature of the rodeo, with calf roping, team roping, bare back riding and saddle bronc ridings, rid-ings, and novelty events. Plans for the May 2Sth show were made at the reorganization meeting of the riding club held lst Thursday. New officers besides be-sides Mr. Bastian elected were Kay Winn, vice-president, and Ned Gines, secretary. |
