Show Rose Bouquet Tied In Ceremony By MIA Maids In Second Ward The' rose evening held annually by Mia Maid girls was featured Monday evening in the Roosevelt Second ward MIA with eight girls participating. Class leader is Mrs. Venice McDonald. Violin prelude music was played by Mrs. Alma Wills and the opening open-ing prayer was given by Evelyn Bowden. Symbolism of a rose was presented by Fern Young, followed follow-ed by talks by Mrs. Violet Lott, with response by her daughter, Mary Lou. Elynn Schaefe'rmeyer played a piano solo. "The Romantic Story" was given by Connie Fenn, Joyce Wills and Ann Murphy. The girls had the privilege of tying their rose bouquet, signifying signify-ing that sixty-five per cent of the class had earned their Mia Joy pins. The bouquet was then presented pre-sented to Mrs. Neal Schaefer-meyer, Schaefer-meyer, YWMIA president. The group sang, "As The Rose" and closing prayer was given by Lynne WiScins. Refreshments, depicting de-picting a rose theme, were served by Larry McDonald, Stacy Luke and Michael McDonald. Mothers of the girls we're special guests at the impressive ceremony. |
