Show Myton School News "The Three Bears" was the title of the assembly program that Mrs. Howard Roberts' kindergarten class presented to the school recently. re-cently. It was depicted as a puppet pup-pet show and pantomine-play with Mrs. Gladys Dart accompanying on the piano. Mrs. Roberts acted as narrator. The puppet show cast included: Guy Thomas, Kenna Jean Nielsen, Patsy Fitzgerald, Wayne Allred. Acting as the' three bears in the jlay were: Randy Ward, Kathy Murphy and Susan Marton with Vicki Abegglen as Goldilocks. Scenery and properties were made by the pupils and Mrs. Roberts. Rob-erts. Creating the musical, moods was the kindergarten chorus: Sharon Abegglen, Gloria Uresk, Janet Allred, Prentice Barker, Gloria Ann Peterson, Diane Clay-burn, Clay-burn, Loretta Colorow, Sandra Crapo, Charlotte Dennis, Ronald Groves, Susan Haddeh, Connie Lamb, Laynel Lamb, Barbara Jean Peterson, Ned Ross, Rulon Van Tassell, LeGrande Redfoot and Ronald Morrill, who also held the flag. x x Principal Milton S.' Nielsen just returned from Salt Lake City, where he attended the all-day' sessions ses-sions of the House of Delegates, the representative body of the Utah Educational Association. Mr. Nielsen served as the one delegate dele-gate representing the Duchesne County teachers, as he is president presi-dent of the Duchesne Education Assn. "A program of action was proposed pro-posed for putting into motion the goals initiated by teachers throughout through-out the state. These goals will govern the future actions of the U.E.A." Said Mr. Nielsen. The group also passed on resolutions and nominated U.E.A. officers for next year. Mrs. LaRue Burgess, actiong primary supervisor, who accompanied accom-panied Mr. Nielsen to Salt Lake, attended meetings of the Association Associa-tion for the study and Advancement Advance-ment of Childhood Instruction. With a daughter, Sally, she also attended the lecture given by Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt at Kingsbury Kings-bury Hall at the University of Utah. x Plans are materializing in preparation pre-paration for the' school's annual Spring Festival, May 4th. This year it will be centered around the theme, "A Whale of a Tale" If you see several boys and girls wearing actual sailor . hats and whistling songs of the sea, you'll know they're students from Myton. |
