Show Ktonali Ethel Beebe Newlyweds Return The newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Smithson arrived back in Al-tonah Al-tonah Friday, April 13 after a honeymoon trip to Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada and other places. They were married April 7th and were overnight guests of Mrs. Smithson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. ' Lawrence Weeks, before leaving for their new home in London. Mrs Margaret Maxfield and Mrs. Mary Carroll attended a baking bak-ing demonstration at Myton, April 14.th SON IN HOSPITAL Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith received word April 17 that their f son, Grant, was in a Grand Junct-tion, Junct-tion, Colo, hospital, where he is being treated' before he undergoes an operation. The Grant Smiths live in Fruita, Colo. Charles Beebe of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Austin Beebe and son, Mike, of Salem, were weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beebe Saturday Satur-day Charles Beebe and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beebe spent the day in Vernal visiting Mrs. Rose Eaton and Mrs. Hugh Johnson. . Doc Warren of Bluebell was a ' visitor in Altonah April 15. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bowden made a trip to Salt Lake City one day last week. They returned- the same day. Mr. and' Mrs. Boyd Young and daughter visited Mrs. Young's father, Milton Anderson, April 15. Mrs. Minnie Lou Stevenson, who is employed in Salt Lake City, spent the weekend of April 14 with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee f Jessen and her daughter, Maxie. Judy Jessen of Salt Lake City accompanied ac-companied Minnie Lou and spent the weekend with her father, Dewey Dew-ey Jessen. Gary Jessen, who has been working in Orem during the winter, came' home to help his father farm. Mrs. Mary Carroll spent the weekend visiting in Salt Lake. Mrs. ALbert Potts and daughters daugh-ters of Duchesne spent the day with her mother, Mrs. Elva Snyder, Sny-der, April 18, while' Mr. Potts attended at-tended a teachers' meeting at Al-tamont.. Al-tamont.. Floyd Weeks went to Salt Lake City the first of the week to find employment. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Louder and family of Pleasant Grove were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jones. The Louders, Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Duns-more Duns-more and family attended the Bear Danes at Randlett. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Brown and family of Grand Junction, Colo., are here spending two weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Carroll. DUP HAS APRIL MEETING Daughters of the Utah Pioneers held their meeting for April, Wednesday, Wed-nesday, April 18, at the home of Mrs. Olive Miles in Mt. Emmons. Francis Allred gave the lesson, "Early Pioneers." Those from Altonah Al-tonah attending were Margaret Maxfield, Verna Allred, Francis ALlred, LaRue Fisher and Helen Palm. They also worked on their registration papers. A delicious lunch was served'. Mrs. Earl Dunsmore took Mrs. Clarence Jones and Mrs. Dru All-red All-red to Duchesne April 16, where they received medical care. An extra large crowd of parents and students from Altonah attended at-tended the FFA banquet at Alta-mont Alta-mont last Thursday night. E. L. Murphy of Upalco was a visitor at Sunday School. April 15 and also a speaker in Sacrament meeting. Ben Gomm of Mt. Emmons Em-mons was also a speaker. Wm. E. Clark made the final arrangements Friday to buy the Albert Clark farm one mile north of town. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Clark and family are planning on moving to Kamas and make their home' as soon as school is out-Clarence out-Clarence White of Tabiona was in Altonah Friday, April 20, repairing re-pairing Wm.
