Show Teen Gold-Green Ball On May 2nd Supt. Max Hartman announced ' that the "Teen Gold and Green Ball" will be held on Wednesday, May 2 at the Upalco ward house. The Scouts and' Bee Hive groups will dance in the floor show. The dance will start promptly at 8:30 p.m. and end at 11:30. Mrs. Eva Bentley and' new baby, Arthur Lane, spent the first part of the week in the Roosevelt Hos-' pital, where the baby is recover ing from a respiratory infection. Three-year-old Richard Bentley is recovering from a tonsilectomy. Mrs. Bessie' Hanberg spent the past week in Salt Lake, where she stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Hanberg. SEVENTH BIRTHDAY Roger Mitchell celebrated his 7th birthday with 25 cowboys and cowgirls riding in to the big party. par-ty. The cowboy party started at 2:00 p.m. with the deputies rounding round-ing up the outlaws. Terry Field-sted Field-sted won the prize on the treasure hunt. At 4:30 everyone gathered around the TV to watch the Roy Rogers' program. Glenna Iorg and Marilyn Young assisted with the games and served punch, cake and ice cream, with popcorn balls and balloons for favors. CAROL HAS BIRTHDAY Little Carol Richardson welcomed wel-comed twenty girl, friends to her birthday party on Friday, April 20. The party was held in the home of her sister, Mrs. Eva Bentley. Bent-ley. The girls entered into an unusual un-usual game of making a scrop book. The first page in their book was to "unscramble the word." The second page they followed the numbers and traced an unbrella, rabbit and chicken. The last page was true and false questions. Later they all had a turn at decorating a cup cake and a prize was given for the most beautifully beau-tifully decorated one. Gracie Kolb and Jan Farnsworth helped to serve a light luncheon to the girls. This was Carol's 10th birthday and her first party. Doyle Swallow, Glen Mohlman, Grant Peel and William Evans attended at-tended the Scout Fellowship banquet ban-quet in Provo Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Hartman visited in Provo over the weekend. Chester Hartman spent a few day with Mr. and -Mrs. Eugene Hartman in Murray. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Crozier from Neola spent Sunday afternoon with the Ed Crosbys. Mrs. Reva Owen, district lunch supervisor, helped in the lunch room on Wednesday. |
