Show SUSC Industrial Day Winners in s " u -J - -J v I - ..' At J"f il Gold plated hammers will be presented to Cedar City High School and Delta Junior High School as the sweepstakes winners in Industrial Education Day competition held this week at Southern Utah State College. Over 500 junior and senior high school students from 18 schools in Utah, Nevada and Arizona were on campus to enter areas of industrial education competition for projects completed during the school year and to compete in a number of on-campus on-campus contests. Sweepstakes were awarded in eight categories with the Jr. Hig Crafts gc' lg to Karolyn Cox, Cedar -Jr. High for her bracelet and Sr. High Crafts going to Mike Topham, Cedar High School yfor a a necklace. Superior awards went to: Mike Caufmann of Cedar Jr. High for a necklace in the Jr. High Craft division; Mike Topham, Cedar High for a bracelet and choker in Sr. High Crafts; Steve Pamboz, Cedar High (engine stand and puller), Sr. High Metals; LeeAnn Holwager, Cedar High(duotone) in Sr. High Graphics; Kris LeFevre (Cedar High) for house plans in Architectural Drafting. Three Cedar students . captured all the awards in Jr. High Sheet Metal: Chad Lewis, Emeron Tripp, second, and John Ayers, third. CAPTURES HONORS. Mike Topham, sweepstakes" winner in SUSC's I. D. Day, Senior High Crafts contest. TOP AWARD. Karolyn Cox, Cedar Junior High, was the 5 sweepstakes winner in the Junior High Crafts at SUSC 's ? Industrial Education Day. i Kent LeFevre, Cedar High, second in Architectural Ar-chitectural Drawing and Dru Boren, Cedar High, first in Acetylene welding. In Sr. High Drafting Joseph Salas, Cedar High took third;and Brent Dix and William Tsun, Cedar High took second and third respectively in Sr. High Electronics. Other Cedar students taking honors were: Carpentry-Chris Nelson, first; Graphics-Douglas Maxwell, first; Lee Christensen, second; a and Scott Grim-shaw, Grim-shaw, third. Jr. High Silver-smithing: Silver-smithing: Jon Bones, first; Karolyn Cox, second; and Ward Taylor, third. Mark Topham, first in Sr. High Silversmithing; Alan .
