Show LaLeche League begins Meeting Series The Cedar City LaLeche League Group started a new series of meetings this past Thursday evening. The series will continue over the next four months. The subject of the first meetingwas "Advantages of Breastfeeding to Mother and Child." In June the subject will be "The Art of Breastfeeding and overcoming over-coming Difficulties," in July July "The Baby Arrives , (Childbirth, the Family, and the Breastfed baby)", and in August "Nutrition and Weaning." You need not be pregnant or even have a family to attend.If you are a wife, a grandmother, a cover (5.00). Should you decide to join LaLeche League International, In-ternational, the dues are $12.00 per year. This includes in-cludes three series of meetings (four meetings in each series), and a year's subscription to the LLL News, a bi-monthly publication designed to keep you informed in-formed on medical research concerning breastfeeding, in touch with nursing mothers the world over (there are over 11,400 leaders in over 4,200 groups in 45 countries), and generally aware that there are lots of other women with the same problems, experiences, and joys that you have. Medical facts (and fiction) are explained ex-plained in lay terms, mother-to-mpther, and many articles are written by individual League mothers just like you. It is a very personal link with a large and growing international organization. LaLeche League is a non-profit, non-profit, non-sectarian organization. However, we do need funds in order to operatefor books, literature, materials, etc. Our Cedar City Group will be having a fund raising sale at Sunshine Natural Foods Store sometime in the coming weeks. Our group has an excellent Lending Library containing many books on Nursing, Mothering, Childbirth. Childcare, etc. You may also obtain litrature to take to your doctor, or a friend or relative.
