"Two-year graduates of the nursery school assistant program will be the second largest group, with one- and two-year two-year graduates in building construction making up the third largest number of certificate recipients." "SUSC is an area vocational school," Bushnell said. "The interest in vocational education is growing as is evident by me targe number of graduates from vocational programs this year and by the increased enrollment in SUSC vocational programs." Certificates of vocational competency will be awarded to the largest group of vocational graduates in Southern Utah State College history on May 17. V o c a t i o n a I C o m -mencement exercises to honor the 175 SUSC students will begin at 7 p.m. on the upper campus rpiadrangle. In case of inclement weather, the program will ho moved to the SUSC War Memorial Fieldhouse. Walter K. Ulrich, administrator ad-ministrator for the Utah State Hoard for Vocational Kducation, will deliver the commencement address. Vernon Hosshardt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nyal Hosshardt, Beryl, will deliver the Outstanding Student Address. The electronics student will represent the SUSC Department of Industrial Kducation. SUSC President Orville D. Carnahan will award the one- ' and two- year vocational certificates. Music will be provided by the SUSC Wind Ensemble under the direction of Professor Joseph Lamoureux. Certificates will be awarded in agriculture, building construction, drafting, metal fabrication, electronics, automotive, police science, nursery school assistant, surveying, office management, clerical and secretarial programs according to Van L. |
