Show William Stubbsdies of Cancer William Mickelson Stubbs 54 died May 6, 1979 at his home in Parowan of cancer. ... Born Sept. 28, 1924 in Parowan to Alma Fredrick and Bessie Mickelson Stubbs. Married Claralice Johnson March 28, 1947 in Paragonah, Utah. Later divorced. Bill received his endowments in the St. George Temple March 13, 1979. He was a electriciam for Utah International and served in the U.S. flavy during world War II. He is survived by two daughters-and a son; Mrs. Reldon (Geraldine) Matheson of Parowan, Marsha Stubbs of Murray and William Jeffery Stubbs of Sandy. Also surviving are four grandchildren, his mother, Bessie M. Stubbs of Parowan; three bothers and a sister; Joseph and Bob "Stubbs of Parowan and Donald and Mrs. Nolan (Sue) Bess of Kearns, Utah. Funeral services were held Wed., May 9 at one p.m. in the Parowan First and Second LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Glen Halterman conducting. The family prayer was offered by Chuck Harris with Itha Mortensen playing the prelude, postlude music and Howard Joseph giving the invocation. in-vocation. The speaker was Cal Erickson with a poem by Lorraine Thompson; an eulogy by Cyril Pendleton and remarks by Bishop Glen Halterman. Laurel Matheson sang "Cool Water" accompanied by Vyonne Chamberlain. The benediction was offered by Mario Stones and Bishop Glen Halterman dedicated the grave. Interment was in the Parowan City Cemetery under the direction of the $pilsbury and Graff Mor- |
