"This program is a follow-up follow-up to a similar, very successful, suc-cessful, program which was completed in Cedar City last year," Starr said. An emergency housing program to help citizens lower their, energy consumption con-sumption and save on utility bills through upgraded housing is being made available through the Southern Utah State College Office of Public Service. "Funding for the program is being made available by the U.S. Department of Knergy which is being i distributed through the Utah Slate Department . of Community Affairs," H. Ralph Starr, SUSC Director of Public Service, said. To he eligible for the federal funds, he explained, citizens must own their own homes, live on low or fixed incomes, and have housing needs. "Because all construction and work on the project is to be completed by fall applications ap-plications should be submitted sub-mitted to the office of public service no later than June 30," Starr said. |
