Wilson entertained at their home on Woodside avenue Monday evening- in celebration of the twenty-fifth anniversary an-niversary of their marriage. The evening was spent with cards and music. Covers were laid for twelve. The Woman's Athenaeum held its regular regu-lar meeting at the home of Mr?. E. P. Le Compte Monday afternoon. The subject sub-ject of the day was "Current Kvents." Mrs. J. L. Frazee had charge of the meeting. ! Mr. and Mrs. Kyle P. Wright returned home Sunday from their wedding trip and are now at their home on Woodside avenue. Mrs. George B. Sheen and two children chil-dren left Monday for Overbrook, Kan. They will visit with relatives for several weeks. Dr. George B. Sheen accompanied accompa-nied them as far as Salt Lake. The Junior Girls' Friendly society held its regular meeting at the home of Mrs. H. S. Townsend Tuesday evening. The Woodmen of the World entertained enter-tained their friends Wednesday evening with dancing, after which refreshments were served. . 1 The Campfire Girls were entertained at the home of Miss Beatrice McFarland Wednesday evening. Those present were Miss Zoe "Raddon, Miss Louise Ridge, Miss Rose Wright, Miss Ella Raddon, Miss Marion Gibson, Miss Mamie Witherow and Miss Charlotte Urie. The- Yaka-Hula-HIckey-Dula club ,was entertained at the home of Miss Sarah Berry Wednesday everting. The decorations decora-tions were in keeping with St. Patrick's day. The members present were Miss Jennie Urie, Miss Charlotte Urie, Miss Hazel Post, Miss Lenora Witherow, Miss Letha Stewart and Miss Mary Collins. The guests were Mrs. J. W. Berry and Mrs. Ray Thompson. The Senior Girls' Friendly- society was entertained at the home of Miss Birdie Beatty Wednesday evening. Those present pres-ent were Mrs. H. S. Townsend, Miss Marian Dunbar, Miss Esther Dunbar, Miss Margaret Urie, Miss Bessie Urie, Miss Hilda Wilson and Miss Anna Paul. Miss Lenora Witherow entertained at a miscellaneous shower Tuesday evening in honor of Mrs. Kyle P. Wright, a bride of the past week. The evening was enjoyed en-joyed with cards and dancing. Those present were Mrs. W. J. Berry, Mrs. A. McCarroll, Miss Jennie Urie, Miss Sarah Berry. Miss Haze Post, Miss Laura McCarroll, Mc-Carroll, Miss Charlotte Urie, Miss Grace Richardson, Miss Rachael Morgan, Miss Edith McFarland. Miss Sybil Holland, Miss Emma Thompson, Miss Irene Griffin. Grif-fin. Miss Mamie Witherow and Miss Necy McClelland. Mrs. Harry Wilson entertained. Thursday Thurs-day evening in honor of her daughter, Gertrude, it being her nineteenth birthday. birth-day. The decorations were carried out in St. Patrick style. Irish flags and shamrocks sham-rocks were used as favors and little clay pipes for place cards. Those present were Miss Mary Gwilliams, Miss Lenora Brown, Miss Delia Johnson, Miss Nora Johnston, Miss Genevie Marrott and Miss Erma Wilson. Wil-son. The Matrons' club was entertained at the home of Mrs. W. T. Quinn Tuesday afternoon at a Kensington. The decorations decora-tions were in keeping with the spirit of St. Patrick's day. Covers were laid for eight. The Golden Hour Sewing club was entertained en-tertained at the home of Mrs. Charles Workman Friday evening. Those present were Mrs. Vie. Carlson, Mrs. W. R. Jef-ford, Jef-ford, Mrs. C. L. Carlson, Mrs. Fred Tre-gunna, Tre-gunna, Mrs. James Xeil, Mrs. Robert Dalgleish and Mrs. Lee McPhee. Mrs. Fred Gillett entertained at a Kensington Ken-sington at her home Friday evening. The invited guests were Mrs. Louis Gerard, Mrs. Frank Monroe. Mrs. George Tip-petts, Tip-petts, Mrs. D. E. King, Mrs. Anis Efting, Mrs. J. J. Fitzgerald and Miss Winnie Jennings. Mrs. A. McCarroll was hostess at a dinner din-ner Sunday, given in honor of her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Kyle P. Wright, a bride of the past week. Covers were laid for twelve. The Five Hundred Afternoon Card club was entertained1 at the home of Mrs. Sherman Armstrong Saturday afternoon. Those present were Mrs. E. J. Beggs, Mrs. J. W. Buck, Mrs. O. A. Forslund, Mrs. G. E. Hedges. Mrs. J. L. Frazee, Mrs. S. B. Dunn, Mrs. G. B. Sheen, Mrs. L. C. Snow, Mrs. Mark Snow, Mrs. Walter Cole, Mrs. E. P. Le Compte, Mrs. Frank Stone, Miss Lynden Schaper and Miss Ella Adams. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. O. A. Forslund. Mrs. S. B. Dunn and Mrs. E. P. Le Compte. A Kensington in honor of the Agenda club, which has just been organized, was given Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Daniel Konold. Covers were laid for the following members: Mrs. Murray Davis, Mrs. Edward Malin, Mrs. R. J. Siddoway, Mrs. John Anderson, Mrs. L. C. Snow, Mrs. Ezra Waddoups, Mrs. L. J. Mower, Mrs. Fay Evans, Mrs. Charles Ence, Mrs. Matt Clements' and Mrs. James Archibald. The next meeting will be held with Mrs. R. J. Siddoway. |
