The Utah Oil Refining company by August 1 will have a refinery equaled by but few plants in the United States. The present plant will be increased and improved until it will not be recognized as being the same institution. The company proposes an expenditure rang ing between $100,000 and $.lo,uuu lor the erection of a warehouse that wil be fitted for the prompt handling of all classes of oils and greases sold by this company. Enormous storage tanks will be installed, so that tho demand for refined oils, gasolines and lubricating oils can be filled promptly from stock on hand. The warehouse will be a modern mod-ern brick and concrete building of two floors and basement. Modern machinery machin-ery will be installed for the automatic filling of all sizes of cans. A modern greaso plant also will be installed, where large quantities of greaso can be made at one time, making for a uniform and high-quality product. During the past summer there was installed in-stalled one reserve tank of 25,000 barrels, bar-rels, or approximately 1100, 000 gallons' gal-lons' ca.naeitv. Several such tanks will be installed "during the year, in addition addi-tion to a large number of tanks ranging from 4000 to 25,000 gallons' capacity. The approximate storage capacity at the refinery at tho present time is 2,500,-000 2,500,-000 gallons. By August 1 the total storage) capacity "will be between 6,000,-000 6,000,-000 and 8.000,000 gallons, filters will be installed, so that the Vico and Simplex Sim-plex Ford motor oils can be produced in larger and more uniform quantity. During the past year the company was unable to keep up with the ever-increasing demand for these products and at the present time it is ' sold almost up to its estimated capacity. The installation instal-lation of those filters will entail an expenditure of between $40,000 and $50,000. The total expenditure during the year for improvements will not be less than $200,000 to 250,0O0. ! Tho mining trade, smelting trade and other large consumers have evinced a ' ttrong liking for the products of this company.
