Show ELECTION Carranza Certain to Be the Choice of the People; No Trouble Expected. MEXICO CITY, March ID. Preparations Prepara-tions were completed today tor the holding hold-ing tomorrow throughout Mexico of presidential and congressional elections, the first to be held since July, 1911. There is little doubt that General Venus-tiano Venus-tiano Carranza will be elected president almost unanimously, as the other candidates candi-dates for the presidential office are not taken seriously. The results'of the elections of members mem-bers o the house of deputies, however, may not be known for some time, because be-cause of the great number of candidates. candi-dates. Some of the candidates for the house are members of regularly organized political po-litical parties, which bear different names in most of the states, but there are many independent candidates. The lytest parties are the Pardido, Consti-Ttionahsts Consti-Ttionahsts and Liberal. There are 640 candidates for tho places of twelve depu-0 depu-0 ties and twelve alternates from the fed-I fed-I oral district alone. Among them is Miss Hermila Galindo, who has made a strong campaign in the Fifth district. Ballots have been distributed and the registration of voters has beau completed. complet-ed. All the saloons were closed todav, and will remain so tomorrow.
