In an effort to be of service to the ladies one C. Nestle, says the Electrical Experimenter, Ex-perimenter, has devised and perfected an electric curling or waving machine which will produce permanent rippling tresses and at the same time Improve their growth. The device in detail consists of a small metal tube in which an electric resistance (heating) coil is placed. This is used for heating a helical form in which the hair is placed when curling Is desired. In actual work several such units are employed. Before Be-fore the heaters are placed over the head the hair is first .treated with a special paste, which softens the hair, then the tube containing con-taining the heater nnd also a suction device de-vice for producing a partial vacuum are placed "In the proper position and the current cur-rent turned on. The current is permitted to flow for a short time and then the equipment equip-ment is removed. |
