Show HEAR NEW YORKER Frederick C. Howe, Commissioner, Com-missioner, to Be Honor Guest at Dinner. Frederick C. Howe, commissioner of immigration of New York, will be the guest of honor of the Bonneville club at a dinner on March 27, which will be the last of the present series. This dinner will probably be "ladies' night," although this has not been definitely defi-nitely decided 'bv the board. The board has not been able to ascertain definitely from Mr. Howe as to what his subject will be, although it will be one of the6e three: "After the War, What?" "Home New American Problems;" "The Story of Tomorrow." Air. Howe is known as an exceptionally exceptional-ly fine speaker and was famed in Cleveland Cleve-land before he went to New Y'ork. He was a member of the law firm of Garfield, Gar-field, Howo & Baker, tho first member of which was James R. Garfield, secretary secre-tary of the interior under Roosevelt, and tho last named the present secretary secre-tary of war. On April 6 'Rear Admiral Robert i.. Peary will be the guest of the club and will speak on "Air Power for the United Unit-ed States." This date has a special significance for the reason that it is the eighth anniversary of Admiral Peary's discovery of the North Pole. For the last week in May an acceptance accep-tance has been received from Frederick J. Koster, president of the Chamber of Commerce of San Francisco. Tentative arrangements have also been made for one and possibly two dinners between the Peary and the Koster banquets. |
