Show GREEK ARMY READY FOR ITS EQUIPMENT NEW YORK. Maich 10. Former Premier Venizelos of Greece, who is now at the head of the provisional government gov-ernment at Saloniki. has cabled to G. Cafandaris. representative in New York of the Greek provisional government, govern-ment, the following statement made March 3 regarding the forces of the Greek national movement: At the outset of the national movement the entente powers were informed that tho liberals would supply two army corns each of i three divisions, tho first to be ready in March and the second in May or June. Of these the first army corps of three divisions is already formed and the first division has been for a considerable time in the righting line and its military value has been noted hy all the world. Thus, the present force, including fendarmerio and depots, is over 0,000 men and will be finally readv as soon as the entente powers are in a position to supply the necessary nec-essary equipment. The organization organiza-tion of the second army corps is commencing. j |
