Smith, general manager of the American Consolidated Copper Mining companv, operating a property in the South fork of Big Cottonwood canyon, the mine adjoining the famous Cardiff, said yesterday that the new strike was of unusual interest. The companv is now taking out a lead-sil'. lead-sil'. er ore that will average SM per ton, with 2 per cent of copper, and the Indications In-dications are that the juncture of the fissures, which made the Cardiff ores and which are the objective of the present development, will be reached with almost anv shift.
